Superhero Name: Lady Mabelton: ALPHA TWIN

History: Fairly comprehensive!

Additional OC and AU Background: n/a

Personality:
Mabel is a thirteen year old girl who is impossibly optimistic and silly. A surface level description of the Pines twins would be that while Dipper is the brains, Mabel is the brawn. Her goofiness can come off as complete foolishness, but that isn't really the case. Mabel's seeming lack of smarts is more likely attributed to a love of comedy, creativity, and getting attention. She'd rather do something hilarious and fun than impress everyone with (what she thinks are) boring facts. Not that she has a whole lot of boring facts memorized, but y'know. It's also pretty likely that her insane imagination is a huge distraction from learning as well.

Being social is one of Mabel's biggest motivations in life. She loves being with others, and she just loves fun. Her personality has been described as "magnetic", and she's got a knack for making and keeping friends. She's also pretty attuned to the feelings of others, and wants to make and keep everyone happy. She's absolutely capable of helping others with problems, and making heartfelt gestures to raise spirits. But, she can also get a little over-invested and butt in where she might not belong.

Sometimes she can be so focused on what she thinks will help someone, that she's totally blind to the fact that she's hurting them instead. She's put the group in dangerous situations with her short-sighted "helping" more than once. This same blindness applies to her other obsessions in life, and can cause her to act pretty selfishly. When it comes to her all consuming desire for a summer romance or her love of animals, a lot of her selflessness completely disappears. At the very least though, Mabel is capable of recognizing the sacrifices others have made for her happiness, and she's usually very grateful for them.

Mabel has a bit of a jealous streak as well. She's jealous of Dipper's smarts, and the way he seems to effortlessly solve puzzles and problems. Thanks to one of their adventures, though, Mabel has sort of come to grips with this. She was able to see that everyone's got their strengths and weaknesses, and that's why teams work.

One of Mabel's biggest fears in life (aside from claymation) is facing tough times without any support. In essence, being alone. Thanks to being a twin, Mabel has always had the benefit of a basically built-in best friend with Dipper. And, he's a highly supportive and protective one at that. She hasn't ever really had to face hardship alone. If she feels abandoned in something, her determination and confidence crumble very easily and she retreats.

After spending a good chunk of the apocalypse in a reality she created for herself, so she wouldn't have to face Dipper's desire to stay in Gravity Falls without her, she's a little more willing to give herself a chance to face things without her brother's help. Not that she really wants to. She's still worried about growing up, and the idea that adulthood might drive a wedge between them the way it did for Stan and Ford. But, she's going to do her best not to let that happen, and not to let her future ideal be what comes between them.

Overall, Mabel is an honest and loving person. She can be sort of stuffed into the "damsel in distress" role at times (her cuteness is irresistible!), but usually she's capable in times of crisis and thrives in a team. Her silliness gives her a different outlook than most, so she often brings a fresh perspective on things.

Canon Powers: n/a
Game powers: I'M GUESSING I'm going to be okay with these two powers since they don't seem too OP according to the powers info page.

The first would be a healing touch kind of power. Not game-breakingly strong, just enough to heal up minor injuries, or patch serious ones in order to get someone to safety.

The other would be a sort of energy shield that would form a pink bubble around her and would be big enough for another person. Then, she could use that shield like the giant hamster ball she's always wanted and slam into opponents. It would be draining to keep it up, so it wouldn't be something she could constantly shield herself in.

Abilities: ARTS AND CRAFTS. Most notably: Knitting, sculpting, and scrapbooking. There's also extreme sticker collecting and knowledge, using a grappling hook, making up weird games to pass time, being taller than Dipper, tolerating splinters, using imagination, making connections with animals, heartfelt karaoke, and minigolf.

Setting: The gravity of the situation probably isn't going to hit her until things get real. If the testdrive thread can become game canon, she won't even be that surprised about being there in the first place. She's going to be way more interested in seeing dipper, meeting new people, and trying future ice cream flavors. In that order.

And, the main plot will probably be scary, especially once the realization hits that they could mess up and people could die. But, all in all, she's probably going to keep up her optimism in most cases. Especially with Dipper there.

SAMPLES

Prose Sample: Test drive link!

Network Sample: Welcome to the Legion, rookie. As a way of helping your character cope with their circumstances and have an optimistic outlook towards the future, the existing Legionnaires want them to record a message to their future self with their thoughts on their current situation, what they hope to accomplish in their time with the Legion, and the first thing they want to do when they get sent safely home or to the dimension of their choice.

[ Okay, Mabel's got her omnicrom set up to record, and she's ready for this. optimistic messages are kind of her thing. ]

Get ready, FUTURE MABEL! Today! Past Mabel's guide to...

[ Okay, so she hasn't yet had time to figure out how to remake her theme song, AND she couldn't find any paper to make her title card with. She did, however, find a marker. So "Mabel's Guide to WHAT TO ACCOMPLISH IN THE FUTURE WHILE REMAINING OPTIMISTIC." was written on a pillow, and is now being shoved into the camera. ]

What to accomplish in the future while remaining optimistic!

[ Cut to Mabel seated in front of the camera. ]

Ok future Mabel, I'm sure you're going to have like A MILLION scrapbooks you can use to look back on your time here with. But, just in case you need a pep talk from AN AWARD WINNING PEP TALKER--

[ She grabs the pillow, and flips it to show a rather detailed drawing of an award for talking with pep. ]

I've got you covered.

So what should we be focused on here in the future? I mean, after all that saving the world business, of course.

ROMANCE.

Remember your plans for a beautiful and TV-worthy summer romance that never quite panned out? Well, I've got two words for you: AUTUMN ROMANCE. Scarves! Pumpkins! Romantic trick or treating! It's all here! It might even be the most romantic season of all! Wait, do they have fall on a space ship? CUT.

[ There's an obvious cut here. She's sitting in a totally different position now, and never went back to edit this properly. ]

I've got two words for you: SPACE ROMANCE. Being trapped together on a ship! Stargazing in any direction! Star gazing at a star that's right outside! 'Ah, what's burning my my eyes?!'

[ She's covering her eyes and trying to look away from the window ]

Must be... Romance!!

[ She sits back, crossing her arms in the coolest pose she can manage. She normally would have sunglasses and neon text here... But she'll edit that in later. Especially since there's a noise interrupting her from the door. ]

Guess that's all the time we have today. Tune in next time for Mabel's guide to future stickers! What kinds of stickers do they have in the future? Holographic? 3D? Stickers with sound?! Who knows!! We'll find out and then and blow some minds!

Additional info: I would really really like for Mabel to be able to bring Waddles, her pet pig, with her. He is her soulmate after all. He's a nonverbal animal, so I really doubt he's an appable character. :'D

If this is your first character being apped to the game, did you reserve first? Yep!
